Bail Hearing Allows Release of Attempted Murder Suspect

Last week, a judge ruled that the bail arrangements were adequate, allowing an attempted murder suspect to be released on $500,000 bail.

Judge Timothy P. Lydon of Mercer County Superior Court made the call. The suspect Ishmeal Abdullah is accused of shooting Jordan Patten on June 23rd. He was arrested in July.

A woman claiming to be Abdullah’s significant other put up $10,000. Abdullah’s parents and some other family members also agreed to make $800 payments per month to ABC Bail Bonds to cover the other $40,000 required on the bond.

The bail source hearing was set up to make sure that no gang money was used to bail out the defendant.
