Follow Up on Bondsman's Arrest

There has been some follow up to a recent arrest in Bucks County. The ACE Bail Bonds offices are being searched after the arrest of one of their bonds men.

District Attorney John Adams acknowledged that the search was in response to arrest of bondsman Dean Gurney. Adams would not say what it was that the police were looking for. News crews observed detectives removing a number of boxes and loading them into their van.

Gurney has been charged with forgery, access device fraud/counterfeit, bad checks. He is also charged with ‘securing execution of documents by deception’.

“After this incident in Bucks County, I think it behooves us to check and to double-check there wasn’t fraudulent activity going on in our county. We’re going to do our due diligence and we’re going to check and double-check the bails that have been written by Mr. Gurney.”

Gurney’s original bail was set at $1 million. It has been reduced to $250,000.
