Mom Tries To Sell Her Children For Bail Money

Most of us would agree that a mother’s nurturing love for her children is one of the most powerful forces in all of nature. Every now and then, however, a story comes along that shakes our faith just a little bit.

Just when you thought you had heard it all, comes this true tale of motherly non-devotion from Oklahoma where the wind may or may not come sweeping down the plain.

In Sequoyah County, the police reported that a mother actually tried to sell her children on the social media network, Facebook. According to investigators, Misty Vanhorn offered her two-year-old and ten-month old for $4,000. For any interested buyer, the two year old alone was priced at $1,000.

The motive for this outrageous crime was quick money that Misty needed to bail her boyfriend out of jail. According to the police, Vanhorn was arrested and possibly faces charges of trafficking children.

There are those who argue that the proverbial “book” should be thrown at her, or at the very least, her children should be removed from her and given to those who would love and nurture them properly.

Shame on you, Ms. Vanhorn.
